Marcus is passionate about Christian community development/transformation, and loves connecting individuals, churches, local government and businesses to opportunities to partner with the work of 2ndSaturday throughout Dallas. He's sold outdoor adventure equipment, worked for a college ministry called Breakaway in College Station, TX and been the outreach pastor at a young church in a hippie mountain town in Arizona.
Marcus grew up in Dallas and has a background in journalism, church-planting and social justice ministries, a degree in Communication from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Cross-Cultural Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Todd Fields is the founder and president of 2ndSaturday and 2S Industries. After building businesses in finance and real estate development, his life was forever changed upon hanging out with a few former drug dealing felons from West Dallas. He firmly believes that People>Projects and resonates that principal throughout 2ndSaturday.
Todd started 2S Industries with a makeshift lawn-mower, a few former gang members and deep hope in a better future for his friends from the inner-city. He grew up in the Pleasant Grove community of Dallas, and went school in Mesquite ISD. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Hawaii where he played collegiate basketball (Go 'Bows!), and an MBA in Strategic Leadership.
Martin oversees the implementation and growth of our social businesses designed to employ and empower at-risk men. He has been around 2ndSaturday since the earliest days as a videographer/photographer.
Martin has a passion for, and extensive experience working with former felons, gang-members and drug dealers and loves to use his business background and heart for ministry to make a difference in the lives of men from West and South Dallas.
